I must admit that I can hardly wait to return to the Walt Disney World Resort! I really miss being “home”, so
going back to the magic will be truly special.
Claudia, upon reopening, theme parks, restaurants, attractions, experiences and other offerings may be modified, limited in capacity and subject to limited availability and closure,
including Disney Resort hotels. Although some Disney Resort hotels are already open, others are scheduled to open at a later date while others are not, at this time, scheduled for reopening. Guests are advised to contact Disney for assistance with existing reservations at a Disney Resort hotel that will not be open during their travel dates. Since I did not book through Disney directly, I am going to share my recent experience.
The first thing I did was contact Disney Resort Hotel Reservations at (407) 939-1936 and provide the hotel reservation number listed on My Disney Experience. I was told that I would have to contact the third party booking website to request assistance with modifications. The Cast Member who spoke with me on the phone was very kind and even noted on my reservation that I intended to keep it, so I recommend calling to put in the same request. If you made your reservation through a travel professional, you should contact them to assist you with modifications. I still have not heard back, but I was told that I should have an answer up to 7 business days.
