Julie, I'm a single mom too, and take advantage of the great deals Disney offers. To clarify, when Disney posts specials, they often demonstrate the deals using a family of four as an example. These deals are open to singles and families of all sizes.
Here are some of deals/ tips I've used:
- Stay at a
Disney Value Resort during value season. You enjoy all Disney perks, including Disney Magical Express, free transportation on Disney property, eliminating the need to rent a car, access to Extra Magic Hours, great hotel theming and activities.
- Consider the
Disney Dining Plan. The new Quick Service Plan, includes two snacks and two counter service meals a day, as well as a refillable mug. We buy fruit and cereal bars for breakfasts, a healthy, cheap option.
- The current Buy 4 Get 3 Free is a great deal. Book any Disney resort for 4 days and get hotel and park passes for 3 additional days. This offer runs until June 27, 2009.
- For the past few years, we have enjoyed free dining. It has been offered to book in the spring for stays from late August through October. When booked with a value resort, the price of a vacation is fabulous!
- Don't feel the need to visit a park every day. Take time to enjoy your resort. There is so much to do that doesn't cost money at Disney World.
- Check the
Walt Disney World website regularly for specials.
Hope this helps!
