Warm greetings from the Sunshine State, April! Welcome to planDisney!
Having your own Florida getaway is such a great idea. I'm sure it makes vacation planning a breeze! You're right that we
Floridians can take advantage of special offers on Walt Disney World theme park tickets, Disney Resorts Collection hotel stays and more. In order to purchase tickets meant for Florida residents, you must
present proof of residency including one of the following:
- Valid Florida driver’s license (must have a Florida address)
- Valid Florida state-issued ID card (must have a Florida address)
- Valid Florida-based military ID
In lieu of a government-issued ID, you can use a mortgage statement dated within the past two months or the following mail showing a Florida address:
- Current homeowner's insurance policy or bill
- Current automobile registration, insurance policy or bill
- Current Utility bill (power / phone / cable / water)
- Mail from financial institutions, including checking, savings or investment account statements
- Mail from federal, state, county or city government agencies
- Bills and mail can be no more than two months old (P.O. Boxes are not accepted as proof of residency)
My guess is that your vacation club ownership won't meet the residency requirement as outlined in Disney's stated policy, but do check your documents to see if you have any that might qualify. You can also
call Guest Relations and ask a Cast Member to review your status to determine if you're eligible for Florida Resident Tickets.
Even if you can't buy tickets as a Floridian, be sure to take a look at the
Special Offers available for all Guests. You'll almost always find ways to save a little on your vacation, wherever you're from!
I hope you have many magical Disney days to come here in my home state, April! Thank you so much for stopping by to see us, and please come back again if you have any more questions!
Keep Disney Dreaming,
Kathy K.
