Hiya, Yevette! Welcome back to planDisney. I'm so glad you paddled up with this gilliant question. It sounds like you are ready to reel in the fun at your upcoming visit to the Most Magical Place on Earth. You have so-fish-ticated taste. There are several options for fishing at Walt Disney World Resort. You can charter a private fishing excursion at:
You can choose a pontoon boat for up to 5 Guests or a bass fishing boat for up to 3 Guests. Excursions can be 2 or 4 hours long, including a guide, fishing equipment and sodas. Another option to mussel up and walk the plankton is Dockside Fishing at Disney’s Port Orleans Resort – Riverside and Disney’s Fort Wilderness Resort & Campground. For this, you can get schooled by a Cast Member with tips and tricks on how to catch (and release) bass. This experience only requires the rental of fishing gear. You can call the number on the Fishing Locations page for information on excursion pricing and to make a reservation. A Cast Member shared with me that you cannot use your own gear for fishing dockside, but you may be able to with a guided excursion. I would recommend checking when you call to know all the rules and policies that may help you decide if you bring your own or use what is already included in the price you pay.If you have any other questions about your upcoming trip to Walt Disney World Resort, throw us a line at planDisney. We are happy to help as best we can -- no squidding.Hope your trip is fintastic!Jana
