Hi Vanessa! Welcome to planDisney!
Oh boy! You have picked the best time of year to visit the Most Magical Place on Earth! The holiday season at Walt Disney World is a magnificent time to join in on the festivities. In addition to all the wonderful treats to eat and holiday decorations to see, Walt Disney World just announced today the return of
Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party. This special event takes place at the Magic Kingdom and features an amazing parade and fireworks display, along with a host of other experiences. Make sure to purchase your tickets as soon as they go on sale in the coming weeks!
Even though the major theming of your trip will be focused around the holiday season, there are still plenty of everyday experiences to still enjoy. The
Festival of Fantasy Parade is still expected to take place daily at the Magic Kingdom during your visit. Currently, it is being shown twice per day, but this schedule can change at any time. This parade is absolutely worth watching for many reasons. Between the music, characters, and dancers, there is something for every Guest to enjoy!
In addition to the parade, make sure to plan a Magic Kingdom day for when
Disney Enchantment is expected to be shown. It took me some time to get past that Happily Ever After was gone, but this new nighttime spectacular is a worthy contender. The original music and amazing projections make this show a must-see while you are here.
While we are still waiting to hEAR about the specific holiday treats and snacks that will be featured during the holidays, I highly suggest following the
Disney Parks Blog for any news and announcements regarding this. It's a great resource to use to help plan your itinerary for your stay!
Vanessa, I hope you have an amazing time during your upcoming visit in December. Have a magical holiday season!
See ya real soon!
Greg
