Hi there, Ashanti! Welcome to planDisney!
I'm so glad you're considering a trip to The Happiest Place on Earth! The Disneyland Resort is a place for everyone and I hope you'll find that Cast Members go above and beyond to accommodate the needs of your family.
The
Disability Access Service (DAS) is offered for Guests who have trouble with extended wait times due to a disability. This service will not serve as an immediate "fast pass" to each attraction, but rather allow registered Guests to secure a return time for the attraction where they can then skip the standby line for faster access. Guests can spend time exploring other magical parts of the park while they await their return time.
There are a few ways to register for Disability Access Service. Registering ahead of time, using the
DAS Advance system, is recommended, as it saves you time during your stay and eases your mind before your arrival. Between two and 30 days before your first park visit, the Guest requiring Disability Access Service will participate in a live video chat with a Cast Member. You may log into the video chat feature for your son, but he will need to be present with you during the chat. During this video chat, you will be able to preregister your group for up to two attractions in advance (subject to availability).
If you're unable to register beforehand, you can visit the
Guest Relations locations on-site to register with a Cast Member in person. Again, you'll want to make sure your son is present, as the service will be registered to his ticket.
Ashanti, I assure you that the appropriate accommodations will be made to make this the happiest trip yet for your son! Feel free to stop back by
planDisney with any additional questions that arise before, during or after your fairytale vacation!
Hakuna Matata,
Ashley
