Hey there, hi there Andrea!
You're always welcome as can be at planDisney, and we're so glad you stopped by en route to your summer vacation.
It sounds like you have your resort accommodations in order, so I'll share some tips for traveling to the Walt Disney World theme parks from offsite and navigating the parks as a family. First, I recommend checking to see if your hotel offers a shuttle to the theme parks, as this might be the most efficient way to transport your crew. If you plan on driving your own vehicle, you'll want to budget for
parking fees (currently $25 per car, per day, and subject to change without notice). If you have younger Mouseketeers in your group who would benefit from a midday break, you only need to pay the parking fee once. Keep your receipt, and you can come and go as you please!
Next, if you haven't done so already, you'll need to purchase theme park admission and access the
Disney Park Pass System. At this time, all Guests must make reservations in advance to visit the theme parks. There aren't currently any special offers for groups of fewer than 10 travelers, so you'll just need to use the Walt Disney World website. Under the "Theme Parks & Tickets" heading, click on "
Theme Park Tickets," and you'll be able to complete the purchase. As soon as each person in your family has a linked ticket, you'll be able to make theme park reservations.
When you arrive at the theme parks, stop by Guest Relations or a Will Call ticket window just outside of the entrance to pick up a plastic ticket card. Be sure to bring your ID and the form of payment used to purchase the tickets online. Alternatively, you can redeem theme park admission using a smartphone and
Disney MagicMobile. With this handy, new mouseketool, a few taps on your screen will send your entire family into the theme parks!
I hope this helps you put together some of the final essentials before setting off on your adventure. Best wishes for a magical vacation, and if there's anything else we can do before your stay begins, feel free to reach out again.
See ya real soon!
