    I would like to know how you and your family get chosen to be in the car at the start of the disney parade?

    Hi Ian!

    We often get questions concerning how guests can stay in the Magic Kingdom castle and how can they be the Grand Marshals of the Magic Kingdom Parade.

    Unfortunately, there isn't a way to plan on either of these experiences as guests cannot stay in the castle suite unless it is for a promotional reason and being chosen for the Grand Marshal of the parade is strictly a random happening. Although there isn't a real plan for selection it is often done in the morning as the park is opening. From what has been determined from past selections the Disney cast will be looking for an enthusiastic family. Wearing logos other then Disney is usually not helpful but you don't necessarily have to be wearing Disney duds either.

    A friend of mine was chosen a few years ago and it was a very special time for her family. She was with her daughter and grandchildren and they were beyond excited for the opportunity to ride out in front of the parade and wave to all the guests along the way.

    I will be wishing you special pixie dust for your vacation but no matter what I know you will enjoy every magical moment you are in the parks.
