Anchors away, Sarah!
I’m glad you brought your question to planDisney. Modern families certainly have more electronics that need to be charged than when
Disney Cruise Line started sailing 25 years ago. I’m happy to help you figure out how to keep your “gadgets and gizmos” ready to go.
Guests may bring a multiple-port USB wall charger. I use one for our vacations to charge our cell phones and my son’s iPad. It plugs directly into an outlet and has USB output ports. You are correct that some “thingamabobs” are
not allowed on board, including extension cords, power strips, surge protectors, and multi-plugs.
Thankfully your stateroom was created with comfort and convivence in mind. You’ll find outlets throughout the cabin near the desk and nightstands by the bed. Some outlets also include USB plugs. I can usually always find an outlet for my watch and e-reader near the nightstand. I like to bring an extra-long cord so I can use my electronic devices while they are charging.
Being out at sea means “unplugging” from daily life, but you don’t have to! Several
internet packages are available to keep you connected to your friends and family on land. Based on your usage, you can pick a package to check your email, surf the web, post pictures on social media, or even stream your favorite music platforms. You’ll find more information on board the ship.
Sarah, I hope this information helps as you gather your electronics for your adventure at sea. If you have any other questions, please see us again. We are happy to share our tips with you!
SEAS the adventure!
