I know Extended Evening Hours are limited to Deluxe Resort Guests. But is it possible for non Deluxe Resort Guests to just walk around MK or EP for atmosphere, shopping and dining during that time without doing attractions? Are all areas/lands accessible?

Hello Marco! I also enjoy walking the parks to simply take in the atmosphere of the Most Magical Place on Earth! Sometimes, not experiencing the attractions really allows you to appreciate other elements of the parks that we don’t stop to appreciate when we’re “on the move.” Unfortunately, the Extended Evening Theme Park Hours covers all areas of the park, so non-deluxe resort Guests would not be able to remain in the parks. Cast Members walk the park during the extended hours and they will politely ask to scan MagicBands of Guests to make sure that everyone in the park is in fact a Guest of a deluxe resort or villa.

Marco, I really appreciate what you want to do, so I’d like to make a few recommendations. First, if you’ve never taken a “Monorail tour”, then you might consider that as an option. You can board the Monorail at any of the Monorail resorts, the Ticket and Transportation Center, or just outside Magic Kingdom Park and ride it to the resorts along the Monorail loop. These are some of the nicest resorts in all the Walt Disney World Resort! You can enjoy touring the resorts and shopping at the stores within the resorts as well!

Similarly, you could take a Disney Skyliner tour of the resorts along the Skyliner loop. These resorts include Disney’s Riviera Resort (one of my favorites), Disney’s Art of Animation Resort (a great resort to tour the grounds), Disney’s Pop Century Resort, and Disney’s Caribbean Beach Resort!

Another option would be visiting Disney Springs or Disney’s Boardwalk to enjoy the many shopping, eating, and drinking venues at these locations. At Disney’s Boardwalk you could also make your way over to Disney’s Yacht Club and/or Disney’s Beach Club Resorts to take in the shopping or eateries. I do recommend a visit to Beaches and Cream Soda Shop at Disney’s Beach Club Resort for some of the best ice cream creations in the entire Walt Disney World Resort!

Marco, I hope some of these recommendations meet your interest in exploring the Walt Disney World Resort to experience some of the perfection of the resort beyond the rides and attractions!

    Happy planning!

    Jonathan
