Hi, Axel! Welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel!
I am so excited for you that you are planning a Walt Disney World Vacation and that you want to be at the “Most Magical Place on Earth” when the clock strikes midnight on January 1st, 2018! Although your carriage won’t be turning into a pumpkin, I do have a few suggestions to make your stay more memorable.
First, New Year’s Eve is a very popular time to visit Walt Disney World Resort and its Theme Parks. At times, Disney Theme Parks tend to reach capacity so I suggest arriving to Magic Kingdom Park in the morning if you plan on being there for the New Year's countdown. Historically, there has been a special midnight fireworks display over Cinderella Castle. Admission is a general
Theme Park ticket and does not require any special tickets.
If spending the day at Magic Kingdom Park wasn’t on your radar, might I suggest one of the
Three New Year’s Eve Celebrations at Disney’s Contemporary Resort? Here, you will still be able to see the special fireworks display at midnight.
I hope this answers your question and you have a fantastic time ringing in the New Year! Please come and visit us again soon!
