Hi Jessica! Welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel! I'm happy to help with your planning question.
I'm so excited to hEAR that you will be visiting the Walt Disney World Resort this spring. I love touring the Disney Parks in May. The weather is gorgeous, and the parks are blooming with excitement! Speaking of blooms, be sure to take some time during your visit to admire the gorgeous topiaries and sample tasty treats featured at the
Epcot International Flower & Garden Festival.
In my opinion, Disney's Hollywood Studios is THE place to be in 2020. You can live your own
Star Wars adventure in a galaxy far, far away on the planet Batuu in
Star Wars: Galaxy's Edge. The first Walt Disney World ride through attraction featuring the mouse that started it all,
Mickey and Minnie's Runaway Railway, will be opening in March. The attractions in Toy Story Land are also not-to-be missed, so I can understand why you'd want to maximize your time in Andy's backyard. Currently, reservations for
Disney Early Morning Magic - Toy Story Land, are not available or on sale at this time. That doesn't mean Disney won't release them, so I suggest checking the website periodically before your trip just in case this becomes an option.
If you will be a guest at an onsite Walt Disney World Resort Hotel, you can take advantage of
Extra Magic Hours, which are currently scheduled at Disney's Hollywood Studios for Sunday morning during your visit. I found this by checking the
Park Hours calendar for your dates, which is updated frequently, so be sure to take a look a few days before your trip. While they won't give you exclusive access to the Toy Story Land attractions, I find Extra Magic Hours to be an excellent way to experience popular rides with minimal wait times.
While you may not be able to reserve those extra, exclusive hours in Toy Story Land, I checked your dates, and it looks like the Magic Kingdom offers
Disney Early Morning Magic - Fantasyland on Sundays and Thursdays. Jessica, my son and I experienced this magical event not too long ago, and we LOVED it. Exclusive access to Seven Dwarfs Mine Train and other popular Fantasyland attractions? Yes please! I think we took at least 6 rides through the mine without even pausing to wait in line! We also went soaring over London in Peter Pan's Flight and took a few spins on the Many Adventures of Winnie the Pooh. After all of that excitement, we had a relaxing breakfast at Cosmic Ray's Starlight Café and were ready to explore the rest of the Magic Kingdom Park for regular opening. It was a really fun and unforgettable morning for us.
No matter how you spend your mornings on vacation, there is no better place to start a day than in at the Most Magical Place on Earth!
Wishing you a wonderful vacation full of memories and smiles,
Betsy
