I know we are eagerly waiting for the 2022 date MagicBands will make their debut at Disneyland. However, until then how to the ride photos and videos link to your Disney Photopass in Disneyland?

Hey there, Amy! Welcome to planDisney. We are so happy to hear you are planning a trip this winter to Disneyland Resort!

I am hopeful that by the time you are ready to head to Disneyland Resort, MagicBand+ will have launched and be available for your trip. Until then you can still enjoy photos from attractions and PhotoPass photographers quite easily.

At Disneyland Resort, there are only attraction photos, not videos. If the attraction has a photo opportunity, you will see the screens at the end of the ride. Just find your photo and there will be an Attraction ID number located on the monitor that is for your photo. All you need to do is type in the 8-character ID into the Disneyland app and it will link to your Disney account. You will be able to see these photos in the Disneyland app once they link.

When you go to take a photo with a PhotoPass photographer, can link these photos one of two ways. The first would be to go into the app and click on the three horizontal lines at the bottom right. Then select "Photos", and at the top right click on "Link Photos". There you can click on "Show PhotoPass Code". This will populate a QR code for the photographer to scan and link your photos. While this works great, I always seem to fumble around trying to get to that QR code for the photographer. So, if that's the case for you too, you can just ask a photographer for a PhotoPass Card. Once you receive the card you can go right back to that "Link Photos" option and instead click "Link PhotoPass Card". Scan the back of that card and now it will be linked to your account as well. So now you just need to pull it out of your pocket or bag and present that to each photographer and the photos will continue to link to your account and be available to view in the app.

Amy, thanks again for stopping by and letting us help you with your question. As you continue to plan, be sure to stop back by again if you have any other questions.
