How do I know when is to dress formal or for Pirates night during my cruise trip? Do I need to book ahead shows and other entertainments!? Can I bring my toddler’s own food (meal prep) to the cruise!?

Ahoy there, ania!  Thank you for bringing your questions to planDisney.  Let's take them one at a time.

    • I am unsure exactly which cruise you are sailing on.  If you are sailing on the 6-Night Bahamian Cruise from San Juan ending to Galveston on the Disney Magic, the suggested attire for Night 2 is Semi-Formal, and Pirate Night is Night 3.  There is no formal night, but there is an Optional Dress-Up on Night 5. If you are on the 3-Night Bahamian Cruise from Port Canaveral on the Disney Wish, Pirate Night is Night 2, and there is no formal night.

    • You do not need to book live shows and entertainment in advance. Seating is first come, first served. I like to get there a little early to purchase popcorn.  You will find the times and locations of the shows in the Disney Cruise Line Navigator app once you are onboard and connected to the DCL-GUEST wireless network.

    • Homemade, precooked, or perishable foods or open food containers are on the list of prohibited list.  You can bring nonperishable snack foods in original factory-sealed packaging, though.  All items must either be consumed prior to final debarkation or remain unopened. If your toddler has special dietary needs, I suggest completing the Special Request form under "My Reservations" as soon as possible so it can be reviewed by Disney Cruise Line.   If there are no special dietary needs, Disney Cruise Line offers a variety of foods in the rotational dining restaurants, buffet, and casual service options.  Speak with your dining team if you have questions about certain foods.  They are always very helpful.
Tania, if you are on a different sailing than the two I mentioned above, please write back to me, and I will be happy to provide you with the deck party for your sailing.  I hope you have a magical vacation on Disney Cruise Line.

    Adventure is out there!
