Hiya Ana!
Welcome to planDisney! Strollers are a serious topic for me as I must have one when visiting Walt Disney World. It's our base of operations as we maneuver around the Parks and a safe space for my little ones. I find bringing one from home to be the best solution for me as it is a known comfort for my kids and I know how to fold it up like a pro when riding the complimentary bus transportation.
According to
Walt Disney World Resort Property Rules, strollers that are greater than 31" (79 cm) in width and 52" (132 cm) in length are prohibited. I double-checked the size of the Doona Liki Trike when opened with the parent handle the measurements are: 36.8 x 19.7 x 40.3 in (W x L x H). This is a bit odd as it visually looks compact however this is what the official specifications for this stroller are noting. Using these specifications it appears that the width exceeds what is allowed.
I understand and see that the stroller can be converted to not have pedals but the potential for it to be converted back to a tricycle is too easy. Bicycles are only permitted in designated areas in the Walt Disney World Resort Hotel areas. Security at the Park Entrance will always make the final decision but based on the size specifications and functionality of the stroller to be a type of bicycle I have a feeling that it will not be allowed in. I would hate to have you travel all the way from Massachusetts with it to only be turned away at the Park entrance with this stroller.
I'm sorry if this is not something you wanted to hear but maybe it was for the best. It appears that this stroller does not recline or have cup holders. Trust me and my decade of Walt Disney World stroller usage when I saw you will want to have a recline option and cup holders. Park days can be exhausting and the heat brutal at times. My kiddos many times have found themselves needing to relax and take a nap midday even though they haven't taken a nap in years. The cupholders are crucial not just for the kids but for the parents who will find themselves needing to hydrate quite often and need a place to store their
Dole Whip Floats while balancing a container of
Mini Corn Dogs. Your stroller will become an important survival tool and I would make sure to label it and make it unique so it stands out when parked in the sea that is "stroller parking." One of my favorite tips is to use glow stick bracelets looped around areas on the stroller to make it more visible at night. I don't know if it's because my night vision is horrible but finding my stroller at night in the Parks when exiting a ride can be difficult. The glow sticks help make it easier to spot and fun for the kids!
Before I forget, I want to make sure you know that you can always
rent a stroller from Walt Disney World Theme Parks. They are very cute but are simple plastic molded seats with canopies. If you want something fancier you can reach out to the Disney Featured Provider called ScooterBug who can help with a stroller rental. There are also many other third-party stroller rental companies you can try as well.
I hope this helps and if you have any more questions please feel free to
reach out to me!
Happy Planning!
