Hello. I know Disney World has updated their mask policy to allowing fully vaccinated guests to go maskless (except for transportation), and won’t be requiring proof of vaccinations. Will children below 12 still be required to wear a mask indoors ?

We’re making a lot of headway in returning to normal, right Maria? It’s so great to know that things are moving in the right direction.

You are correct in that facial covering requirements have been relaxed at Walt Disney World. Guests who are fully vaccinated are no longer required to wear masks in most areas, with Disney transportation being a notable exclusion.

Because Guests under the age of 12 are not yet able to be vaccinated, they are still part of the group of people for whom facial coverings are required. There are many fully vaccinated adult Guests visiting with their unvaccinated children who are opting to wear facial coverings as a way to support their children who don’t have an option right now.

Hopefully we can make another giant leap in our fight against this pandemic soon, and all Guests can choose whether to wear a mask. Until then, Maria, all unvaccinated Guests (including kiddos) are still required to keep those masks on.
