I know Disney World is huge, but we are a very active family with older kids. Is it possible to walk from Port Orleans Resort Fr Qtr to some of the parks? How long would it take to walk to ESPN, Epcot, DHS, Downtown Disney, Boardwalk?

Hi Deanna!  It would not be advised or recommended that you and your family would walk to any of the Disney parks or locations you mentioned.  The property is indeed large and connected with many roadways but they do not have the needed sidewalks to make walking safe.

The resorts where you are able to walk to a park are the Contemporary which is about an 8 minute walk to the Magic Kingdom and the Yacht, Beach, and Boardwalk where you can walk to EPCOT or the Hollywood Studios.  Fort Wilderness is quite large and they have extensive sidewalks throughout this resort area that you are welcome to use.  There is also a nice trail between Wilderness Lodge and Fort Wilderness that families enjoy using when they have that extra energy.
You can take a bus to EPCOT and then you can walk to both Boardwalk and take the mile long path to Hollywood Studios.

Check with your resort concierges about other possible walking areas that would be safe for your family.  Traffic is quite thick on all roads as expected inside the Disney property and safety is the most important thing to consider.
