I know Disney will transfer luggage for split stays at resort hotels. What about refrigerated items? We're flying so we won't have a cooler with us that we can have packed and waiting for transfer.

    Hi Mark,

Welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel, and thank you for your question. My family loves a spilt stay! It’s such a fun way to take advantage of the amazing benefits of staying at a Walt Disney World Resort hotel, and to add adventure to your vacation. We have so much fun trying different food options, exploring the grounds, checking out the resort’s theming, and splashing in different pools. I know you’re going to have a blast!

Bell Services will take good care of you when it’s time to switch resorts. They do have cold rooms to store refrigerated items, so just be sure to identify which bags contain items that need refrigeration. Bell Services will use a special tag on those and ensure they are stored in the refrigerated space. I like to have cash on hand to tip the Bell Services Cast Members, who always handle our bags with care and courtesy.

On a past visit, a friend sent us a really nice cooler bag from Disney Floral & Gifts, so we were able to put our cold items in there for the resort switch. I bring that bag with me every time because it really makes things convenient. You may want to fold down a soft-sided cooler bag in your luggage to have on hand for your stay, or even just pack a small tote bag that can hold your refrigerated items separately from the rest of your baggage.

Mark, remember that your room may not be ready right away on your resort switch day, so be sure to pack a backpack with your essentials while your luggage is in transit. Think through your day and be sure you have hats, sunscreen, swim stuff if you’ll be taking a pool break, and whatever else you need for your magical adventure. Have fun!

    Wishing you a magical vacation,
