Aloha, Kristina! Welcome to planDisney - so glad you found us. A journey beyond the reef to
Aulani, A Disney Resort & Spa, is always a wonderful idea, and it's my pleasure to be your personal wayfinder to track down the information you're looking for. Watch out for those pesky Kakamora, and let's set sail!
KA WA'A is the activity I recommend the most for Guests visiting this
Disney Vacation Club resort. It's a full evening of Hawaiian food, stories, music, and dance, and it really is magical. The luau was one of our absolute must-dos the first time we visited, and we were so glad we prioritized it. My girls literally still talk about it years later!
Unfortunately, because bookings for the luau are made through a third-party company, you are not able to use the Disney Rewards Redemption Card to make your reservation. However, if you use your Chase Disney Visa Card to book your seats in advance, you will accumulate additional rewards dollars that can be used during your stay. The website currently shows dates through late August, so hopefully you can snag a reservation!
To use your Disney Rewards Redemption Card, you can present it directly at the shops and restaurants at Aulani. If you are booking a cash stay online, you can apply the balance to your reservation and pay any remaining cost with a credit card. You can also visit the Front Desk after you check in and put the redemption card on file - this will allow you to charge anything from sunscreen to
shave ice to your room and pay for it with your hard-earned rewards dollars.
Kristina, I hope your plans for a Hawaiian rollercoaster ride are firming up and that this information is helpful. If our planDisney
'Ohana can help with any other questions for your Aulani vacation or another Disney adventure, please come see us again anytime!
Stay Magical!
Susan
