Hi, Patty!
Thanks for sending me your question! It is great to hear from a fellow Ohioan!
Special offers are something we never know about ahead of time. Generally, if there are any discounts available, they will be offered during regular/value season. Rarely, if ever, will you find any deals during the week of Christmas or during Spring Break. Watch for
Special Offers at Walt Disney World, as you might find some great deals. We do not know when, or even IF there will be Free Dining offered in 2012.
While I am not the Disney Cruise Line Specialist (you will want to contact Marisol or Nancy) I have been on many Disney Cruises. You will want to check
HERE for DCL Special Offers. I have found that as soon as you decide on a cruise, book it! Prices tend to only rise as you get closer to the sailing date. I booked my cruise sailing out of New York for this summer heading to Canada almost a year ago! I knew the prices would only go up, and did not want to risk the cruise selling out.
To save some money, try sailing in September or January when the prices tend to be lower, and stay away from holiday time. You will see the prices climb, for example, the closer you get to Christmas. Choose your stateroom wisely. An inside stateroom will be much cheaper than an outside stateroom. And the obvious, start with a 3 night cruise which will save you over a booking an extended cruise of 4 nights or more.
I hope you find the perfect vacation to fit your schedule and your budget! Happy planning, and feel free to contact me with any other questions, or our resident DCL experts Marisol and Nancy!
