    I know that Disney has gotten away from the Guest Assist Pass. What are they doing now? We are thinking of going back to the park with my father who cannot stand in long lines.

    Hi Lori ~

    I have a son with disabilities and know Disney is still committed to assisting Guests with many different types of disabilities. Things are a little different now but I would encourage you to go with your Father and share in the magic.

    Disney now has a Disabilities Service Access Card (DAS) for guests who are not able to wait in a standard queue. Here are some details explaining how to obtain a DAS and how it works in the parks. You can also find some additional information in this list of Frequently Asked Questions about the DAS.

    It may help your Father if you rent a wheelchair for him. While he may feel fine first thing in the morning, the parks are huge and it may give him the stamina he'll need to make it through the day and your trip. Here is some additional information on wheelchair rentals in the parks. In case you decide to rent a wheelchair, here is some information regarding attractions for Guests with Mobility Disabilities including those that allow Guests to remain in their wheelchairs or ECVs, those that require Guests in ECVs to transfer to wheelchairs to board and those that require Guests to be mobile to enjoy.
