I know Disney gift cards can be used for merchandise in the park, but can they be used for food and beverage in the parks and at Disney springs.

    Hi Michael! Welcome to planDisney!

Disney gift cards are my favorite way to save for our Walt Disney World Resort vacations. Not only are they a great way to stick to a budget, but they also save you from having to carry around a bunch of cash or credit cards. Plus, whatever Disney design I have on them, even if it is just Mickey Mouse, it brings a little Disney magic and a smile to my day!

You will find that Disney gift cards can be used at many, MANY locations across Walt Disney World Resort property. In the theme parks, you can use them for food and beverages, and they can even be used to purchase food from the Outdoor Kitchens at the Taste of EPCOT International Flower & Garden Festival during your visit in a few days! They are so convenient!

At Disney Springs, I have found that most dining locations are able to take Disney gift cards, but I suggest checking in to any specific dining location that you are eating at to make sure and maybe bring a back-up method of payment. On our most recent visit, we dined at Paradiso 37, Taste of the Americas (yummy!) and while they normally take Disney gift cards, they were having technical issues and we weren't able to use them for that one visit. We were thankful that we had brought an alternate payment method with us!

I hope this helps, Michael! Please let us know if you have any other questions.
