Welcome back to the Disney Parks Moms Panel, Kristin! It's nice to hear from you again, and I'm so excited to see that your trip is less than a month away. I hope you're having a BLAST
counting down the days!
Disney eGift Cards work just like regular Disney Gift Cards – all you need to do is pull up the eGift Card on your phone, and the Cast Member helping you will either scan the barcode or enter the card number to charge the card. You may certainly use an eGift Card to pay for the tip when dining, and it can also be used at merchandise locations, Quick-Service dining spots, and even at the front desk of your Walt Disney World Resort hotel to cover charges to your room. How easy is that?! I love the way Disney is making so many things happen auto-magically so Guests can focus on having the best vacation ever!
It's great that you're pre-planning and budgeting for tipping the Cast Members who make your vacation wonderful. I always make sure to bring cash for tipping Mousekeeping, Bell Services, and the driver on Disney's Magical Express for handling our luggage. One of my favorite ways to say thank you to extra-magical Cast Members is sending a Cast Compliment to @WDWToday on Twitter. Include the Cast Member's name, where you met them, and why they were terrific, and use the hashtag #CastCompliment. If you don't use Twitter, you can also leave compliments at Guest Relations or your resort's front desk. It makes my heart happy to sprinkle a little pixie dust on the Cast Members who make our vacation practically perfect in every way.
Kristin, say hi to Mickey for me, and please come back and see us if we can help as you count down the days.
Wishing you a magical vacation,
Robyn
