Hey, howdy, hey, Sue, and welcome to planDisney. January 9, 2024, is a day Disney Theme Park fans are excitedly anticipating. The
Disney Park Pass System started as a result of the pandemic and will finally go away for all date-based tickets. For the first time in forever, we will be able to purchase tickets without having to check if there is space available in the theme park of our choice.
I am not exactly sure what you are asking so I have two answers. If you have a
Theme Park Ticket with the
Park Hopper Option then you may hop to Magic Kingdom Park or EPCOT any night to see the current
fireworks spectacular. If you are looking to visit the theme parks on another day outside your 3-Day Theme Park Ticket with Park Hopper Option then there are two short answers to this question.
The first is "yes" and the other short answer is "maybe" depending on crowd levels. You should be able to buy a same-day Standard Theme Park Ticket at the gate or more conveniently through the
My Disney Experience app. The only reason you not be able to is if the crowd level hit maximum occupancy as it does on New Year's Eve. Historically, May does not have a maximum occupancy issue.
planDisney Pro Tip: Before buying the extra ticket see what it would be to add a day to your existing 3-Day Theme Park ticket with the Park Hopper Option. You may do this before you use your last theme park entry. Essentially you would create a 4-Day Theme Park ticket with the Park Hopper Option.
Sue, I hope this information helps you and I am available to you if you have any follow-up questions. You may
write me back directly.
Enjoy making many Magical Memories.
