I know Disney will count the cost of your current trip tickets toward an AP if you upgrade during your trip. Will they do the same if you are using military discount tickets?

Welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel, Rebekah!

I see you have a Walt Disney World Resort vacation coming up in just a few short weeks – how exciting! I also really like the way you think, because I am always planning my next Disney trip, and usually have more than one countdown going at a time. That’s where an Annual Pass sure comes in handy, because being a part of the Walt Disney World Annual Passholder club means you have the keys to the kingdom and can stop by whenever the pixie dust compels you.

Rebekah, I’m happy to report that upgrading a Military Promotional Ticket to an Annual Pass is as easy as "bibbidi bobbidi boo." All you need to do is visit a Guest Relations window and pay the difference between what you paid for your ticket and the current Annual Pass price. Your Annual Pass’s begin date will correspond with the first day you used the ticket, so if you haven’t used the ticket yet, you might as well stop by on your first day and upgrade so all the magical benefits can begin right away. The Disney Parks Blog just announced some really great perks for Annual Passholders this summer, so it’s the perfect time to get the passholder party started!

Whether it’s the included PhotoPass downloads, the dining and merchandise discounts, or discounts on special events, I know that I’ve gotten so much value out of my Walt Disney World Annual Pass. Another added benefit is the ability to use the Annual Passholder line when entering a theme park – my kids feel like movie stars strutting through that line on our Disney days!

We’re a military family too, and I thank you for your service and commitment, Rebekah. I hope becoming an Annual Passholder means you’ll be able to spend more time with those most special to you in The Most Magical Place on Earth – to me, there’s no better place for together time!

    Wishing you a magical vacation,
    Robyn
