I know dining reservations open 60 days in advance, but what time do they become available to book on the website/app?

    Hiya Mary,

Welcome to planDisney! Thank you for your question about one of my favorite topics on earth: dining! I love carefully planning my itinerary around where I want to eat. Luckily, Disneyland Resort has so many wonderful choices, and each one is delicious.

I just recently returned from a vacation to the Happiest Place on Earth, and making my advanced dining reservations was a huge milestone! Unfortunately, I learned that there is no official time for when dining reservations are released. Over the three days of reservations I made, I found that 6:00 AM PT was the time I started seeing reservations magically appear. That said, some days, I found this to be earlier than 6:00 AM; other times, it was later. One of my fellow panelists gave me the best advice for getting reservations, and it really did help out. Set your first alarm for 3:00 AM PST. Some reservations open up, and you may miss them if you wait until 6:00 AM. Then check every 15-30 minutes afterward until you have gotten all of your reservations. It seems like a lot, but persistence always pays off!

I hope this was helpful, Mary! If you need anything else, please come back and see us. One last thing: if you cannot book all your reservations on your first time, check back on the site. As Guests' plans change, reservations tend to open up the closer you get to your trip. Keep checking the reservation page, and you may find a magical surprise. I hope you have the most magical vacation!

    Happy Planning,
