Hey Laurie,
Thanks for visiting planDisney! Your dining reservation window opens soon, so I’m happy you brought your question to us! You are correct that your dining reservation window opens 60 days before your arrival. If you’re staying at a Disney Resort, you can book for your entire length of stay, up to 10 days. If you’re not staying at a Disney Resort, you’ll book dining reservations 60 days before each date.
Dining reservations open at approximately 6:00 AM daily. The window for booking
Enchanting Extras is also up to 60 days in advance. The Walt Disney World website states that these reservations typically open between 6:00 AM and 7:00 AM. Sometimes, for
special events, like holiday party tickets, they may not be available exactly at 7:00 AM due to unforeseen delays.
It is probably no surprise that I am the Disney vacation planner for my family. I like to wake up early and log in on the Walt Disney World website before that 6:00 AM window opens. I also keep a list of which dining reservations to prioritize. For example, if we really want to dine at
Cinderella’s Royal Table on our Magic Kingdom day, I would try to book that reservation first, then continue down my priority list. Reservation availability may be limited, so that’s why I make my priority list, and I also try to be flexible on park dates. Maybe that Cinderella’s Royal Table reservation isn’t available at the beginning of my trip, but it may be available on a later date. If I can move my Magic Kingdom park visit to that later date, then I will book the reservation for that date!
Good luck with your reservations, Laurie! Once you’ve made your dining selections, your vacation will be here before you know it! If you have any more questions as you continue planning, we’ll be here to help at
planDisney!
