Do you know when the dining plans will be resumed?

Am I safe in assuming that you are a foodie, like I am, Marianne? Experiencing the restaurants and lounges at Walt Disney World is one of my favorite parts of any dream vacation. Disney Dining Plans make this culinary adventure a bit more convenient. Unfortunately, we’re still not sure when Guests will be able to add dining plans to their vacation packages. Do you follow the Disney Parks Blog? It’s a great resource for staying informed about the latest Walt Disney World news.

In the meantime, I can suggest an alternative. If the freedom to enjoy a meal without worrying about the cost is important to you, you might consider purchasing a Disney gift card before your trip. You could peruse menus online and estimate your dining expenses and then buy a gift card for that amount. During your trip, you could use that gift card to cover your dining expenses. Your receipt will always show the remaining balance on the gift card and you can keep that number in the back of your mind as you go about the business of making magical memories. It’s sort of like a DIY dining plan!

In any case, I’m wishing you and yours a tasty trip, Marianne.

I'm Darcie, and my friends would be the first to tell you that Disney trip planning (especially dining!) is my love language. Of course, the vacations my family enjoys today look much different than they did when our kids were little, but while some of our favorite activities have evolved, Disney destinations still top our travel wish lists.
