I know that the dining plans are connected to the Magic Bands. Do all members have to be present in order to utilize the meal plan credits? ie: other family members are on the rides while ordering lunch.

    Hi Janet!

You sound like an excellent planner and I bet you already have a detailed itinerary from the nature of your question.  Swoon ~ I've found a friend!

The answer to your question depends upon your dining choice.  For table service meals you will not be seated until the entire party is present.  So for table service meals the answer is yes, you must all be present to order.  For quick service meals and snacks, you may order meals for other members of your family.  I have on many occasions ordered the meal for my family while my husband took the children to wash up and be seated.  In fact I find it easier to order without my kids in line with me (and I bet the Cast Members do too).  Snacks work this way as well.  In fact if you have a Mickey Bar ready for your family when they meet you after their ride you might be crowned "Queen for a Day"!

I hope you enjoy the Disney Dining Plan as much as I do.  I find it flexible, simple to use, and it makes planning a food budget so easy.

Thank you for your question Janet!  Please come back and visit us here on the Disney Parks Moms Panel if you have any more vacation planning questions.

    Blessings,
    Brenda ºOº
