To answer your question, Hannah, the
Disney Dining Plans are a way for Guests to prepay for their meals before the vacation even begins. A lot of Guests truly appreciate that convenience, and that alone can make it worth it for some travel parties. Depending on when you're planning to visit, there are changes coming to the Dining Plan lineup in 2027.
The 2026 Dining Plans include either the Disney Quick-Service Dining Plan or the Disney Dining Plan. Beginning in 2027, Guests will be able to choose from the Quick-Service Dining Plan, the Table-Service Dining Plan, or the Deluxe Table-Service Dining Plan. Each plan provides everyone in the party, ages 3 and over, a specific number of meals and snacks based on the number of nights of your
Disney Resorts Collection stay.
The Disney Dining Plan (2026) and the Table-Service Dining Plan (2027) include 1 Table-Service Meal, 1 Quick-Service Meal, 1 Snack or Non-alcoholic Drink, and 1 Resort-Refillable Drink Mug per night of stay. The Disney Quick-Service Dining Plan (2026) and the Quick-Service Dining Plan (2027) include 2 Quick-Service Meals, 1 Snack or Non-alcoholic Drink, and 1 Resort-Refillable Drink Mug per night of stay. New for 2027 is the Deluxe Table-Service Dining Plan, which will include 2 Table-Service Meals, 1 Quick-Service Meal, 1 Snack or Non-alcoholic Drink, and 1 Resort-Refillable Drink Mug per night of stay. It’s important to note that certain restaurants, like Cinderella’s Royal Table, require 2 table-service meal credits. You can use the credits on any day that you choose during your stay. For example, you could combine two table-service meal credits from the Disney Dining Plan (2026) for your meal at Cinderella’s Royal Table.
Whether this is worth it for you and your family is subjective, depending on the make-up of your travel party and your eating habits. Some Guests love it, while others prefer the flexibility of paying as they go rather than planning around a set number of meals. My family and I always look at our eating habits at home and compare that to how we intend to eat in the parks. If this matches, it could be a great value, if not, it’s totally OK to go without it! At the end of the day, there really isn't a right or wrong answer. It’s all about what works best for you and your travel party.
