Bonjour Angela!
Welcome to planDisney, the most magical place on the internet! As a fellow foodie, I am so glad that you stopped by to ask us your magical question. I absolutely love trying all the different restaurants, quick service locations and unique snacks that the Walt Disney World Resort has to offer, and the Disney Dining Plan definitely helps with this goal. As Remy always said, "if you are what you eat, I only want to eat the good stuff!"
Unfortunately,
the Disney Dining Plan has not yet returned to the Walt Disney World Resort, and we do not currently know when it will be coming back. However, if there is one thing I learned from visiting the parks over the years, it is that things are constantly changing at the Disney Parks. Walt Disney himself, in fact, said that the Disney Parks would "always be in a state of becoming." Well, he said that about EPCOT, but it still works, right? To make sure not to miss any news about the theme parks and their offerings, I would recommend keeping an eye on the
Disney Parks Blog as well as the Disney Parks social media pages. Then, once the Disney Dining Plan does return, you will know the announcement as soon as it is made public!
In the meantime, make sure to still stop by the
Walt Disney World Resort's many restaurants, lounges and quick-service locations, as no Disney vacation is complete without some good food! One of my new favourite restaurants is the
Nomad Lounge at Disney's Animal Kingdom. Not only do they have beautiful, tasty and adventurous cocktails that are perfect for the park, but their menu is also delicious. I highly recommend trying the Impossible Sliders for your entree and the Churros for dessert. I still have dreams of that vanilla crema and chili-strawberry sauce! Another one of my favourite restaurants is the
Grand Floridian Cafe at Disney's Grand Floridian Resort and Spa. Their Miso-glazed Salmon is one of my favourite meals at Walt Disney World, and their Buttermilk-fried Chicken is famous across the Resort. The best part is that if you did not get a reservation, both of these restaurants and lounges have a Walk-Up List that you can join on the
My Disney Experience mobile app.
I hope this was helpful, Angela, and that you and your loved ones will have the most delicious experience on your upcoming Disney vacation. If you have any other questions in the time leading up to your visit or need
more recommendations for yummy treats, please don't hesitate to reach out. As we say in my family, Disney calories don't count!
Have a magical day and bon appétit,
Ariane
