Ahoy there, Tiffany! Thank you for sailing by planDisney with your questions. I can talk about Disney Cruise Line all day!
There are currently six ships in the fleet. Here are a few of my favorite things about the ships that make them different:
- The Disney Dream is currently the largest in the Disney Cruise Line fleet and sails to the Bahamas and Europe. The rotational dining restaurant Royal Palace is the only one of its kind in the fleet. It has French-inspired cuisine with décor inspired by classic Disney Princess movies.
- The Disney Fantasy is my favorite ship. It offers cruises to the Bahamas and sailed to Europe a couple of weeks ago. You can find The Tube there, an adult-exclusive British-mod nightclub.
- The Disney Magic is the only ship in the fleet with the AquaDunk, a waterslide where you plunge 3 stories. You can visit the Caribbean and the Bahamas on the Magic, and next year, Alaska.
- The Disney Wonder is one of the smaller ships and sails around the Pacific: Alaska, Ensenada, Australia, and New Zealand. It has one of my favorite restaurants in the fleet, Tiana's Place, where you can enjoy a Louisiana-inspired meal while Princess Tiana and her friends provide dinner entertainment.
- The Disney Wish is one of the newer ships. If you love the movie Frozen, you will find Arendelle: A Frozen Dining Adventure, a rotational dining experience with music and some of your favorite characters from the movie.
- While I have not sailed on the Disney Treasure yet, I will be soon! I am most looking forward to the live show Disney The Tale of Moana, and checking out the ghoulish drinks in the Haunted Mansion Parlor.
There are two more ships on the horizon with inaugural sailings later this year:
Disney Destiny and
Adventure.
All of the ships have something for the young and young at heart and similar
onboard activities, including character encounters, live shows, and adult-exclusive dining. Each ship has areas for washing and drying clothes and a dry cleaning service, all at an additional cost. Pets are not permitted onboard any ship, but trained service animals are.
Tiffany, there are so many other fun facts about the Disney Cruise Line ships, so I suggest you browse around the Disney Cruise Line
website to find out more. These
pocket guides are also great! If you have any other questions,
planDisney is here to help.
