Hi, I would like to know if there is any difference in the price for Disney Cruise for a 5 year old kid or they pay the same as an adult. Thank you!

    Welcome to planDisney, Renata!

You've asked a great question. On Disney Cruise Line, if a 5-year-old is staying in a cabin with two or more adults, then the little sailor's cruise fare is significantly lower than the two grownups' fee. However, if there are only two passengers in the cabin--one adult and one child--the fare for both would be the same.

When dreaming of our next adventure on the high seas, I head over to Disney Cruise Line's website and start entering dates to determine options. You can add the number of adult and child passengers to your search and include other specifics to see various rates and details. For example, I looked at Disney Cruise Line July sailings and found a three night trip on the Disney Wish, Inside Cabin with two adults has a cruise fare of $1,362 for each adult. Adding a child to that cabin would cost about $830. Looking for a lovely Verandah view? Each adult would be $1,539 with that added child's fare being $841.

Because Disney Cruise Line's cabins are designed with families in mind, many accommodate four people so comfortably. My family's favorite cabin feature available on these ships? The split bathroom! This makes getting up and out or dressing up in pirate gear for a Pirate Night dinner so much easier. In addition, when our cruisers were little, having an actual bathtub instead of just a shower was an excellent perk.

And of course, Disney Cruise Line is king of the seas when it comes to kids' activities! My children loved exploring all of the spaces and activities in Disney's Oceaneer Club and Disney's Oceaneer Lab; there is truly nothing else like this on any other line. Another families favorite is Rotational Dining: your waitstaff visits each different dinner venue with you, so if your little one is a fan of something in particular--or does not like something at all--they'll remember. Best of all, the family-friendly entertainment is where these ships surely shine. Deck parties with character, magical meet-and-greets, and the most spectacular shows at sea will amaze your little one--and the grownups, too!

Renata, as you plan for your most magical voyage, be sure to send additional questions our way. We love to help!
