Hi Andrea,
Welcome back to the Disney Parks Moms Panel, and thank you for your question. I get so excited when I see Guests decorating at Walt Disney World – I’ve seen cars, strollers, and resort rooms decked out in #DisneyStyle, and it always brings a huge smile to my face thinking about special celebrations and Disney magic.
While magnetic door decorations are super popular on when sailing, it’s a different kind of room decorating we usually see at Walt Disney World Resort. Because many resort room doors are not magnetic, Guests usually decorate their room’s windows instead. On my visit last week, we saw one window that was framed in twinkling Christmas lights, with a big sign proclaiming it was a family vacation surrounded by pages beautifully colored by their little ones. There were even plush Disney characters on the window ledge.
When decorating, please be sure that you’re not using materials that could damage the room in any way, but otherwise let your creativity shine through. Make sure you use tape that peels off easily, or use suction cups or clings. If you’re going to use lights, stay safe by using battery-operated ones or ensuring that you leave the string unplugged when you are not in your room. Since you’re visiting during the Halloween season, it could be fun to purchase some spooky window clings to put in the window, and maybe some string lights in purple or orange.
Disney Floral and Gifts offers some truly magical room in-room celebrations and decorating options, so be sure to check them out too.
Have so much fun decorating your resort room, Andrea, and enjoy every minute of your
Autumn visit to Walt Disney World Resort.
Wishing you a magical vacation,
Robyn
