Hi Edie!
So happy you came onboard here at planDisney! It’s a smart decision to get all your ducks in a row before your cruise. The
Disney Dream will be your home base as you sail around
The Bahamas.
I like the way you think: getting braids done while at sea means more time ashore at
Castaway Cay doing whatever you like. Nothing like sitting on the ship enjoying all the Disney magic while getting an island hairdo! As of now, hair braiding is available poolside as well as ashore on Castaway Cay. Of course, that could change as Disney Cruise Line reserves the right to modify or cancel existing activities and experiences. So I would say have some money set aside to have the braids done, but don't have your heart set on the service being offered on the off chance it isn't available.
While it's not hair braiding, I want to mention the sensational stylists at
Senses Spa and Salon. Getting my hair styled before dinner is one of my secret pleasures, especially after a day with sandy, windblown hair. Guests should book treatments in advance on the website or using the
Disney Cruise Line Navigator app. Once onboard, you could call Senses Spa & Salon directly using your stateroom phone or stop by the spa’s reception desk to make a reservation (subject to availability). The list of available services can be found on the
Experience Updates page.
Cruise back to planDisney if you have any other questions. We'd love to help sprinkle pixie dust on your sailing.
Happy Sailing!
Sherry
