Hello, dear Wes! Welcome back to the Disney Parks Moms Panel.
It's great to help you once again. We're all huge planners, and it is
fantastic to share our planning advice with a kind Guest like you. From room selections to transportation to dining tips, count us in!
I
love the way you have already organized your budget. I think you have almost everything covered, but there are some areas in which I think I can help you.
First, I'd suggest considering a fixed budget for shopping. The Walt Disney World Resort has fantastic stores with clothing, toys, collectibles, home items, and jewelry, for example. You will find gorgeous stores at
Disney Springs, at the
Theme Parks, and at the
Disney Resort hotels, so it's wise to consider them in your budget. I'm not a big vacation shopper, but I often come home with a few hand-picked souvenirs. I try to keep my shopping budget under $80 per person per trip, and it's always calming to keep that number in mind while I'm window shopping.
You may also want to add a little money for snacks. You will do
a lot of walking at the Walt Disney World Resort, and you may find yourself a bit hungry between your main meals. Luckily, Theme Parks offer many delicious snacks. My favorites are the Mickey Premium Bar ice cream and the
Fresh Fruit Waffle Sandwich from
Sleepy Hollow. This waffle smells like heaven! I would consider an average snack budget of $8 per person per day to have an idea of the total.
Finally, I'd like to share a money-saving tip: most
Quick Service restaurants will give you a big, refreshing cup of water if you ask for it, at no charge. My husband and I always keep ourselves hydrated, and this tip has saved us a ton of money!
I hope that these tips help you create an
unforgettable trip, Wes! As you move forward in your planning, please don't hesitate to come back to us. We're here to walk you through every step of the path that leads to the Walt Disney World Resort!
May the magic be with you,
Julie
