Hi David, and welcome back to planDisney!
As a mom of two little ones, I can tell you that there is nothing like experiencing Disney magic through your tiniest Mouseketeers’ eyes. You’ll want to replay those hugs from Mickey Mouse and the precious moments on classic attractions like
Dumbo the Flying Elephant again and again.
I have great news for you, David! My boys’ first visits were both before they turned 1, and yes, their admittance into the theme parks was absolutely free, including for those separately tickets events. There’s no need to buy
Disney After Hours tickets for Guests under the age of 3. I loved that the money that I saved by not buying extra tickets for
Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party, another special event, went toward so many more yummy Disney snacks and the kiddos’ cute costumes instead.
AN EXTRA GEM: Although your children under 3 don’t need theme park tickets and special event tickets, you’ll want to include them in your advance dining reservations. When making the reservation on the
My Disney Experience App or the Walt Disney World Resort website, add them to the overall party count. During Mobile Check-In in the app, on the day of your reservation, you’ll be able to specify the age groups in your party. And little ones under 3 can eat for free at all-you-care-to-enjoy table-service restaurants!
I hope that your family has the BEST time next year, David! If you have any other questions about your upcoming Disney vacations, please don’t hesitate to reach out to us here at planDisney.
I’m all ears! Magic always,
LeAndra
