I know that children under 3 eat free at character buffets. If we celebrate my grandchild's 3rd birthday at the character buffet will we have to pay for their lunch? He won't actually be 3 until the day we leave. Do we have to say it is the 3rd birthday?

Hi Jean, Even if your grandchild was to turn 3 during your vacation, he will remain the age that he was (which is 2 years old) when you checked into your WDW Resort and for the whole duration of that stay. He will be able to eat off of an adults plate "free of charge" during your whole trip and you can certainly celebrate his birthday while you are there......I hope he has a Magical Birthday Celebration on your upcoming trip! Best wishes, Brigitta
