Do you know if I can charge on my Disney Visa at parks, then pay it off at the Resort with my Disney Gift Cards?

    Hi Laura! Welcome to planDisney!

You must be thrilled to begin your stay at a Disney Resorts Collection hotel in just a few more days! Are you ready for all the fun that the Walt Disney World Resort 50th anniversary celebration is sure to bring? You will make so many magical memories!

If you are planning to link your Disney Visa to your hotel account and use a MagicBand to charge purchases to your hotel account, then yes! You can head to the Front Desk of your resort and use your Disney Gift Cards to pay down your account. Since your MagicBand links directly to your hotel account, you can use the gift cards to pay off your balance before the charges are applied to your credit card. If you are paying in the parks with a credit card and not a MagicBand, then you will need to pay your credit card off like you normally do.

Every resort has guidelines regarding when your credit card is charged when using MagicBands for purchases, so make sure to check what the limit is when you arrive so you can pay off the balance before it is charged to your credit card. Once the charge is applied to your credit card, you won’t be able to use your gift cards to pay off the balance.

I hope this helps, Laura! Please let us know if you have any other questions.
