Ahoy, Allie!
Welcome to planDisney! Thanks for stopping by to see us as you start dreaming about all the wonder and magic you'll find on a Disney Cruise Line vacation! I just recently returned from my latest Disney Cruise with my family on the
Disney Dream and had an absolutely wonderful time. It was my fourth time on that ship, and I just fell in love with it all over again!
Allie, with the Disney Cruise Line fleet continuing to expand, families have more choices than ever when deciding which cruise ship and itinerary are best for them. While itineraries haven't been released yet for 2028, you can certainly start researching and deciding which ships seem to offer the most for everyone in your family. Once released, you can
filter your cruise search by departure port, destination, date, and/or ship to find the vacation that is practically perfect in every way. As a mom of three kids myself who range in age from toddler to teenager, I can share that regardless of which ship you choose, you'll find plenty of
characters and activities for everyone in the family to enjoy! Characters are always subject to change, but you'll be able to see a full schedule for your sailing in your
Disney Cruise Line Navigator App once you board the ship.
One of our favorite ways to prepare for our Disney Cruise vacations is to check out the
Disney Cruise Line Playlist on the Disney Parks YouTube Channel. Here you'll find a great selection of videos that allow you to sample a bit of the magic that you'll enjoy at sea. For example, while the
Disney Destiny showcases the stories of heroes and villains, the
Disney Treasure celebrates the many adventurous tales that have been brought to life in Disney theme parks and movies over the years. We also have a great video in our planDisney library from some of my panelist pals who
chat all about the Disney Wish!
When itineraries are released, you can also check for any special sailings taking place that year. Currently, Disney Cruise Line offers
Pixar Day at Sea and
Marvel Day at Sea on select cruises as well as seasonal offerings such as
Halloween on the High Seas and
Very Merrytime Cruises. These offer a great opportunity to meet additional characters and/or enjoy unique entertainment offerings.
Allie, I hope this information has helped as you start to plan for your Disney Cruise in 2028. If you use this time to explore the various ships, you'll be in a great position to make those Disney Cruise Line dreams a reality when itineraries are released in the future. Make sure to follow the
Disney Parks Blog, too, for the latest updates and announcements, and don't hesitate to stop by to see us again here at planDisney!
SEA ya real soon!
