I know characters (or at least last I knew) could sign autographs for the kids. My kids are really into the Lorcana game and want to know if they can get cards signed when we go. Is that possible?

    Hey Daniel, welcome to planDisney!

I’m thrilled to hear your kids are enjoying Disney Lorcana! I am a beginner player myself, but I must admit, I mostly admire the artwork on the cards. My husband and son are working their way through the Disney Lorcana Gateway so they can also play together.

Your kids can certainly bring their Disney Lorcana cards to Walt Disney World for characters to sign. Lorcana cards are small compared to the typical autograph book, so my recommendation is to ask the Cast Member near the meet and greet line if the character is comfortable signing on a smaller area. I also suggest bringing a permanent marker that will make the autograph clearly visible on the card. Make sure the "ink" is "dry" before you put the card away! (See what I did there?)

In my experience, the characters may sometimes need a hard surface to support the item they are signing. Perhaps you can bring a small book with sleeves to store the cards, which the characters can use to support the card as they sign. This will also help with keeping track of the autographs your kids have collected, and which characters they should be looking for next!

You can use your My Disney Experience app to find which characters are meeting at the theme parks. Click the location pin at the bottom of the home page to see a map of Walt Disney World. Scroll through the categories at the top of the page to find “Characters,” then you can filter by location. Click “Show List” to see a full list of the characters as well as when and where they will next appear. Character dining experiences would also be a good way to collect several autographs at once. For example, at The Crystal Palace, you can currently meet several characters who appear on Lorcana cards, Winnie the Pooh, Piglet, Eeyore, and Tigger! 1900 Park Fare would also be a good choice, so you can meet Aladdin, Mirabel, Princess Tiana, and Cinderella. Character appearances are subject to change, but there are so many characters on Lorcana cards, I don't think you can go wrong with any character dining experience!

Your kids thought of a fun and unique way to collect autographs, Daniel. I hope seeing the autographs on their cards as they play Lorcana will remind them of the wonderful times they had on vacation with you. If you have any more questions, please come back and see us again at planDisney!

    Good luck on your "quest!"
