Katharine from CA Asked Please note that experiences, policies, pricing and other offerings are subject to change and may have changed since the date of this answer.

I know you can change the date for a purchased ticket, but is there a certain time frame within which you have to do it? For instance, could I change my date on the day of? Or does it have to be a few days or a week prior?

Hi Katharine! Thanks for bringing your question to planDisney.

Yes! With standard admission tickets, there is no penalty associated with modifying your theme park reservation the day of your reservation or not showing up for your reservation. As long as your ticket is valid, you can always book a new theme park reservation subject to their availability. You can also modify your theme park reservation as many times as you need to during the period of the ticket's validity. It's really flexible. I hope that's good news!

Modifying is super easy. You'll simply want to scroll down the My Theme Park Reservations page until you reach Upcoming Theme Park Reservations. You should see the date and park associated with your linked ticket for each member of the group. Click "Modify Reservation" to begin the selection of your new date.

And I hope you're able to visit sooner rather than later. There's so much excitement coming to Disneyland Resort in 2024. For the first time, they've announced a whole calendar year's worth of events. Lunar New Year Celebration at Disney California Adventure Park will be here before you know it, but you can look ahead to a year's worth of magic and decide what sounds like the best option for your group.

    Have a magical day.
