I know in most cases you need a dining or resort activity reservation in order to park at a resort you are not staying at, but can I park & go to one of the parks after my dining/activity experience? Or do I have to leave the resort and park elsewhere?

Hi, Nancy!  Thanks for bringing your question to planDisney!

I'm so glad to hEAR that you're planning ahead for all of the little details of your Walt Disney World Resort vacation.  When you take care of all the logistics in advance, it allows you to just sit back and enjoy every magical moment once you arrive.  It would be my pleasure to chat with you today about parking at Walt Disney World Resort Hotels.

Standard overnight self-parking is available at Walt Disney World Resort Hotels to Guests registered at that particular resort for a fee that will be applied to their hotel folio upon check-out.  If you book a dining reservation at a resort hotel that you are not staying at, you are entitled to complimentary standard self-parking at the resort while you enjoy your dining experience.  However, you will not be able to leave your car there for the entire day while you visit the theme parks.  Once your meal or other resort hotel experience has concluded, you will need to move your car to the parking area for whichever theme park you plan to visit.

Nancy, if you would like to write back to us and let us know where you will be staying during your vacation, as well as which resort hotel restaurant and theme park you are planning to visit on this particular day, we would be happy to advise you on your best parking and transportation options.  We would also love to answer any other questions that you might think of as you plan a Walt Disney World Resort vacation that's practically perfect in every way!

    See ya real soon!
