Hi Jennifer,
Welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel! It sounds like you have an amazing family trip planned!
First, I want to be sure that you have read this fabulous
answer from another Moms Panelist about the difference between adjoining and connecting rooms. On a prior trip, we were unable to get first floor adjoining rooms in the Garden Wing at Disney's Contemporary Resort. We just decided to take all of our bags into the room on the first day. And, we decided not to try to move the next day. Our rooms were down the hall from one another and we still had a fabulous trip! We honestly spent so little time in the rooms that it did not matter at all.
I will suggest that you make sure that the request is noted on your reservations. Do online check-in and have the alert messages sent to your mobile phone. Once you get that alert that your rooms are ready, check the room locations. If they are not adjoining, contact the resort hotel (there should be a phone number listed in the text message) to make the request again. If you arrive before receiving a text message that your rooms are ready, just go to the front desk of the resort hotel and ask a cast member to help you!
Jennifer, also be sure you have reviewed a resort map that shows the building and room locations of your resort. I always check one before we go so that I know which rooms are close to transportation, dining and the pool(s)!
Magic, memories and Minnie Mouse hugs,
Donyell
