Your visit to The Most Magical Place on Earth is fast approaching, Katherine! You’ll be visiting at a great time! Halloween season is underway at
Walt Disney World Resort, and there will be plenty of fun seasonal offerings to take advantage of during your visit.
To answer your question, Katherine, you are correct. To take a
bus or boat from Disney Springs to the Disney Resorts Collection hotels, you must be a Guest staying at a Disney Resort hotel or visiting one with a valid dining or experience reservation. Guests may be asked to show a valid Resort hotel room key, dining reservation, or experience reservation when boarding a bus or boat. As of this writing, this restriction only applies to transportation from Disney Springs.
One thing to keep in mind, Katherine, is that if you visit Disney Springs using Disney Resort transportation, you will not be able to get back to a resort hotel, and by extension the theme parks from Disney Springs without a resort, dining, or experience reservation. With that in mind, parking at Disney Springs is complimentary. So, if you’re driving to the theme parks earlier in the day, you can certainly drive to and park at Disney Springs. Alternatively, you could take a
Minnie Van or rideshare to and from Disney Springs as well.
You’re visiting Walt Disney World during one of my favorite times of year, Katherine. The
EPCOT International Food & Wine Festival will be in full swing.

Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party is also held on select evenings from August 7 through Halloween. It’s a frightfully fun time!
