Hi! I know I can cancel a park reservation and rebook but can I do that the day before if park is available? We are going for 8 days in January and if my kids want a different park on last day for rope drop is there a time constraint on?

Hello and welcome to planDisney, Michelle. Thanks for stopping by to chat with me about your upcoming Walt Disney World vacation. I think there is no better way to kick off a new year than with a trip to Walt Disney World. You are going to have so much fun!

Michelle, you can absolutely change your park pass reservation last minute. Updates are made in real-time. If you'd like, you can even change your plans the morning of! I have many times changed my park pass reservations around last minute when I see my preferred park pop up on the availability calendar. Sometimes you'll see the option to modify your park pass reservation and other times you might only see the option to cancel. If this is the case, you'll have to cancel out your existing park pass reservation and then go through the process to rebook for another Walt Disney World Theme Park.

One thing I am so excited about in 2022 at Walt Disney World is the return of the Enchanting Extras Collection. These offerings could be a really fun addition to your vacation, Michelle. With 8 days of magic, you'll have plenty of time to visit all of the Walt Disney World and then maybe add in a little something else. Caring for Giants is a tour that is coming back that I really love. Sometimes special tours can get a little pricey but this one starts at just $35.00 per person - making it great for the whole family.  During the tour, you'll get to speak with knowledgeable Cast Members who get to work with the African elephants at Disney's Animal Kingdom Theme Park. My family and I thoroughly enjoyed this experience when we participated a few years ago.  Another tour that is on my must-do list is the Up Close with Rhinos Tour, also found at Disney's Animal Kingdom Theme Park. This tour starts at $45.00 making it another affordable option for a special extra. This 60-minute adventure will take you backstage where you'll actually get to meet a white rhino and find out a little bit more about this amazing creature.

I hope this helps, Michelle. If you have any other questions while you finish up plans for your trip, please feel free to stop back by and ask me. I'm happy to help. Have fun and enjoy!

Meet the Panelist: Jackie, North Carolina

I love all things Walt Disney World.  In fact, since becoming Annual Passholders, my family of 3 is always hopping in the car for a quick trip to visit with Mickey Mouse!  I've been known to make the 8 hour each way drive to Walt Disney World (in one day!) to indulge in a Mickey Waffle or enjoy a sunny day at Disney's Typhoon Lagoon Water Park.  I may have a small family, but we are always up for some BIG fun at the Walt Disney World Resort.   Learn More About Jackie
