I want to know if I can bring a voice amplifier to the theme park? It’s the small box ones I use to teach in my class room. I have difficulty with being able to be heard and wanted to know if I could bring this for an upcoming trip with my kiddos.

Hiya, friend! Welcome to planDisney and thanks for sharing your question.

Your visit to Walt Disney World is just a few weeks away. You’ll be walking down Main Street U.S.A., under the Tree of Life, past Spaceship Earth, and exploring a galaxy far, far away before you know it. To quote a very famous mouse: “Oh boy!”

To answer your question, I took a look at the Walt Disney World Resort Property Rules. Under the list of prohibited items is “horns, whistles, large megaphones or artificial noise makers” and I think your voice amplifier falls under that category. I’d suggest calling a friendly Cast Member on the Non-Reservation Questions line if you have any questions about this policy.

There are a few tried-and-true tactics you can consider if you’re worried about keeping track of your kiddos while visiting Walt Disney World. Matching shirts is always a popular option, and I once saw a family wear colorful matching bandanas, which I thought was a pretty good idea. You might also want to write your contact information on your kids' MagicBands with a permanent marker, or I’ve seen a variety of customizable temporary tattoos on the internet, which can be a big help if a child does get separated from your group.

I hope this information helps with your trip planning. You’ll be visiting Walt Disney World at such a fun time, I hope you have time in your vacation itinerary to visit the EPCOT International Flower and Garden Festival. With all the beautiful topiaries, musical performances, and special food offerings, you won’t want to miss this limited-time event.

Don't hesitate to come right back if any other questions come up. Your planDisney pals are here to help!

    Magical travels!
