Hi Kathryn!
Welcome back onboard the Disney Parks Moms Panel! Happy to hEAR you have a
Disney Fantasy 5-Night Western Caribbean Cruise on the horizon. Since it’s a
Halloween on the High Seas sailing, so be sure to pack those costumes!
One thing that always impresses me about Disney Cruise Line is its ability to accommodate Guests’ needs, especially when it comes to
dietary restrictions and allergies. One of my kids has a peanut allergy, so I know how it feels to want to ensure your child’s safety and comfort, especially while out on the open sea!
First things first, I would recommend that you
contact Disney Cruise Line or your travel agent to have your son’s allergies noted on the reservation, including what brand of detergent works best for him. You never know, Captain Mickey may already have that same hypoallergenic detergent available!
Even so, be sure to pack a sufficient amount of your laundry detergent just in case that is a brand that Disney Cruise Line does not have. Finally, upon arriving onboard, check with your stateroom host or hostess to make sure that the information is indeed showing on your reservation. Cast Members can even ensure his sheets are washed in your detergent if you’d like!
Now that your son’s laundry and bedding are covered, my final suggestion would be to include sunscreen and UV protection swimwear on your
packing list; the Caribbean sun can be quite strong, and nobody has time for a sunburn on vacation!
Cruise back to the Disney Parks Moms Panel if you have any additional questions before you set sail, Kathryn!
Bon Voyage!
Sherry
