Hey Howdy Hey Heather and welcome to planDisney!
Sounds like to you are in the process of planning a trip to the Most Magical Place on Earth during the most Magical time of the year! I hope this works out for you and your party as there are so many special ways Walt Disney World Resort celebrates the holiday season. From decorations at many of the resorts, special activities and food offerings in the shopping district at
Disney Springs to all the grand celebrations going on in the parks, Walt Disney World goes big when it comes to the holidays! Before I get too far ahead of myself, it sounds like we need to discuss the details of vacation packages. Let's jump right in and go over some of the details.
When purchasing a
vacation package from Disney, this does include hotel accommodations at a
Disney Resort Collection hotel as well as theme park tickets. With your hotel, you can choose from 3 tiers of accommodations from value, moderate and deluxe resorts to best suit your party's travel plans. As you move through the process of booking your trip, you will be able to select the number of days you want to purchase theme park tickets. Tickets will be issued to every member of the party for the days you select. You will also have the option to add special extras to your ticket with things like the
Park Hopper option which allows you to hop to a different park than the one you start in beginning at 2:00 p.m. pending availability.
You will also be prompted for things such as
Memory Maker and
Travel Insurance. You do not have to decide at that time about either but you will have specific times to add them to your vacation package. You can add Memory Maker-Advanced Purchase with a reduced rate if you purchase 3 days or more from your dates of travel or you can always purchase it when you get onsite. Travel Insurance can be added anytime 30 days or more from your travel dates.
As you continue to move forward with planning your vacation, I wanted to point you in a couple of directions to keep up with all of the holiday festivities you may be able to experience. The first place to check is over at
Disney Parks Blog. There you will find updated articles on all the latest announcements and happenings across Walt Disney World and even keep up with the food with their
Foodie Guides that will give you the scoop on all things dining!
Disney World also has a landing page on their home site to give you some updated details on how each area will be celebrating the holiday season as there are so many unique ways throughout the resort.
Best of luck as you continue to plan your next trip to the Vacation Kingdom of the World! Please stop back and let us know if you have any further questions, we would be happy to help!
Have a Magical Day,
Nick
