I know that to attend Mickey's Very Merry Christmas Party, you must purchase an extra ticket. If I don't go to the Party (college students have to save money!) will I still be able to see the Castle lit up? And will there be Holiday parades before 7 pm?

    Hi Marissa!

They do normally light up the castle before the start of Mickey's Very Merry Christmas Party. I would say, they normally light the castle around dusk, which in December, it generally occurs between 6:15 and 6:30pm (Christmas party doesn't officially start till 7pm).

As for parades, the one I'm most familiar with at Magic Kingdom is the Celebrate a Dream Come True Parade which occurs around 3pm each day. I can't recall if it's holiday-inspired, outside of some of the performers wearing their Santa cap.

Have a great time! Enjoy that break between semesters :-)
